As a photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing countless beautiful moments, but there are some that leave a big imprint on my heart. Jackie and Cole's surprise proposal at the Hotel Drover was all around sweet and heartwarming.
The Hotel Drover, nestled in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, exudes rustic charm and timeless elegance. With its warm ambiance, Western-inspired architecture, and sprawling gardens, it provided the perfect backdrop for this romantic occasion. And let’s just say Cole did spectacular with planning the surprise proposal to make this moment so perfect. The picturesque surroundings, coupled with Jackie and Cole's love story, created a magical setting for what was about to unfold.
Upon Jackie and Cole’s arrival, Jackie was led to believe they were at the Hotel for drinks with a friend and then a private dinner for two. But little did she know (sort of *wink wink*) that her life would be changing.
Jackie and Cole’s family and I and an assistant photographer waited patiently up on a private balcony for her to realize it was not a private dinner, but a fiancé she would soon be getting. As they approached, and the rest of us hid from sight - I got to sneakily capture the best moment of Cole getting on his knee to propose to Jackie.
We all had a good laugh when Jackie said she wondered why her sister wanted to get her nails done and that may have given off a tiny clue, but nevertheless the surprise and love in Jackie’s eyes were those of someone who was truly happy. And for that I am so excited and happy for J + C and beyond honored to have been the one to capture this special moment in their lives.
